This safari explores the northeastern regions of South Africa, offering an exceptional experience for avid golfers while also providing an engaging itinerary for non-golfing guests. The journey begins in Pretoria and continues to Sun City, nestled in the Pilanesberg hills, where guests can enjoy exciting game viewing.
From there, travel across the sweeping Highveld grasslands to Spionkop, an ideal base for discovering the area’s mountains, wildlife, birdlife, and historic battlefields. The route then winds through the picturesque Valley of a Thousand Hills to Durban, where a city and botanical garden tour awaits.
Along the way, guests can engage with local artisans crafting intricate, geometric candles. The safari continues with wildlife encounters in Hluhluwe—one of the country’s oldest reserves—and the renowned Kruger National Park near Malelane, including a visit to Eswatini.
The journey also includes a stop in Dullstroom to explore local arts and crafts, enjoy a fly-fishig presentation, and sample whisky, before concluding back in Pretoria.
Golf course selection is subject to availability and may include Sun City Gary Player or Lost City, Champagne Sports Resort, Durban Country Club or Mount Edgecombe, Royal Swazi, and Highland Gate.
